The purpose and intent of Jim Snyder Publications is to put quality written materials into the hands of people that they may be pointed to Christ. They should also help the believer to maintain a closer walk with the Lord.

Some items are for self-edification while others make excellent gifts for special occasions or just to let someone know you are thinking of them.

The power of the printed page was discovered by the author while in the US Navy. He met Bill (a cult member) in the ship's chapel where Bill was reading a Moody Press Colportage Book in reference to his particular cult. Jim invited Bill to join him and some of their shipmates in a time of prayer. Bill gladly joined them.

The men formed a circle in the altar area and one by one they shared prayer requests. When it was Bill's turn to make a request he said he needed wisdom to make a decision.

Once the prayer requests were made the men each took a turn to pray. When it was Bill's turn he literally fell prostrate before the Lord and received Jesus Christ as his Lord and savior. His prayer request had been answered. Bill left the cult he was part of and went on to serve the Lord faithfully.

In the future not only fiction books but poetry and Bible commentaries will become available. In the works are note cards with some of Jim's original poetry. There will also be wall plaques with different types of mountings.

Yes, this is a for profit venture. However a portion of the proceeds will be used to minister to inmates in various prisons and institutions. Such things as newsletters, Bibles and Bible studies will be made available to disciple them so that when they eventually return to the streets they will be assets to their families as well as to their local church and their community.

My first book, From the Horse's Mouth: First Person Biblical Fiction, has just been released.  Needless to say I am a little more than excited.
